Overview

Our cloud page shows live stock for every plan in every location. A plan that is available shows a Purchase button, a plan that has sold out shows Get Notified. Stock changes frequently. It is normal for a plan to be out of stock in one location while the same plan is available in another, and it is normal for a plan to sell out again within hours of being restocked.

Why Plans Go Out of Stock

We only sell what we can physically deliver. Every plan is backed by real resources on a hypervisor that we own and operate, so the number of servers we can sell in a location is limited by the hardware that is racked and running there. When that capacity is allocated, the plan goes out of stock rather than being oversold.

Why Restocking Takes Time

Adding capacity is not something we can do on demand. New hardware has to be specified and ordered, shipped to the datacenter, racked and cabled, provisioned and burned in, and added to our automation before a single plan can be sold from it. Depending on the location and the parts involved, that process can take weeks. Demand also arrives unevenly. A promotion, a new location launch, or a single customer ordering in volume can consume a batch of capacity much faster than we expected when the hardware was ordered.
The ongoing memory shortages have made it extraordinarily hard to purchase adequate memory to restock our servers. The price of DDR4 ECC has tripled over the past few months, and DDR5 ECC is now practically impossible to purchase. Unlike many other providers, we have chosen not to raise pricing for existing servers which reduces the amount of hypervisors we can purchase in any given month.

Check Other Locations

The same plan is often available elsewhere on our network.
If you need capacity urgently, a different plan or a different location is almost always faster than waiting for a specific plan to restock.
We are not able to reserve capacity, hold stock, or place you at the front of a queue, including for existing customers. Stock is released publicly and is first come, first served.

Frequently Asked Questions

We usually cannot give a date. Restocks depend on hardware deliveries and datacenter work that are outside of our control, so rather than promise a date we cannot keep, we notify you as soon as the stock is actually live.
No. If a plan shows as out of stock, the capacity does not exist yet. Selling it anyway would mean overselling the hardware that our existing customers are already running on.
That plan has not launched in that location yet, so there is nothing to notify you about. Notifications are only available for plans that are live but currently sold out.
